Babylon is a comprehensive set of tools for translating among 75 languages. From the program's interface you can search for the translation of any word to the language that you want.
A peculiar feature of the program is that it allows you to translate any word just by pressing "ctrl" and the right mouse button over any word in any Windows program. Of course, these hot key combinations can be changed at will.
A new feature included in this version is the translation of web pages. You only need to type or paste a URL into a small window, choose the source and target languages, and voilà.
Another new feature is the translation of documents. That is, you can open any text document (MS Word, PDF, Text, etc.) and the program will automatically translate it to the language selected. It is worth noting also that now the program can automatically detect the source language.
Finally, this application brings other services, as a units converter, a speller, human translation service, etc. All these tools make Babylon one of the best programs for language translations.

I like this software.
I bought a license to use Babylon 8. Unfortunately, I had a problem with my HD and I lost the copy of the program. How can I get another one? I've tried to download another copy of Babylon 8 and I did not succeed.
On 12.5.2008, I bought Babylon 7+ Oxford Dictionary and Thesaurus plus Babylon CD (which I never received). On 10.8.2009, I also purchased Duden - The German Spelling Dictionary. I also paid for the Backup CD + shipping (which I never received) and I purchased Babylon 8 - Upgrade. Recently I had my computer upgraded and the man at the repair shop told me that he removed a lot of 'ballast' from my computer. Unfortunately, my Babylon program was amongst it and I would like to have it back. I tried to reinstall it, but your system will not let me do it. I find it very frustrating, especially since I am over 90 years old and not quite up to this modern stuff. Is it possible that the developer will send me information where I can reinstall my Babylon 8 plus all the extras I bought in one installation program? And maybe you can send me the CD for this.
